STEAM Series Workshop | Canva 2026: Cloud-Based Design & AI Applications
Canva has become one of the most popular cloud-based design platforms in recent years. It is widely used by social media managers, YouTubers, student organizations, teachers, and students alike. Whether you are creating presentations, social media posts, YouTube videos, infographics, calendars, posters, mind maps, reports, or project proposals, Canva provides a vast collection of templates and design assets to help you create professional-looking work with ease. Simply add your content, and you can quickly produce impressive designs.
Canva is especially designed for users without a design background or those who feel they lack artistic skills. If you can type keywords, select templates, and drag-and-drop elements, you can master Canva. In addition, Canva's AI-powered tools can assist with image and video background removal, while numerous built-in features and third-party applications allow you to complete your entire design workflow without leaving the platform.
Canva also offers a growing range of AI applications, including Dream Lab, powered by Leonardo AI, an Australian AI image-generation company acquired by Canva. Other features include AI translation, image and video background removal, and a variety of AI tools developed by third-party providers, all seamlessly integrated within Canva.
